Code Breakers: Women in Games

Press play on Code Breakers, the first Australian exhibition celebrating the achievements of women working in the games industry.

Whether it’s making commercial hits or indie titles, these women know games!

Step inside to play everything from platformers, RPGs and digital board games to graphical adventures and puzzles. There is something for everyone and at every skill level.

Code Breakers also reveals the human stories behind each game as makers reflect on the sometimes challenging journey they have made in this male-dominated industry.

In the press

The exhibition raises the visibility of women and their work in a male-dominated field. It breaks preconceptions around games and the people who make them … Touring Code Breakers beyond ACMI compounds the exhibition’s ability to spread these messages to more audiences, and more women and girls especially
