Undertaking a gamemaking unit, or have students interested in games and the games industry?

This free virtual lesson will give students the lay of the land of the Australian games industry, look at gameplay trends (and games that buck these trends), as well as the social impacts of videogames.

Ultimately, this talk is to contextualise videogames and their importance to, as much as their popularity within, society. This webinar would sit well anywhere within a game-making unit, or as part of Media studies as students start to consider the medium of videogames.

After the webinar, registered schools and teachers will receive a link to a 'Videogames: Industry and Impact' resource to assist thinking around a gamemaking unit, study of a videogame or class consideration of videogames and the videogame industry.

Join one of two dates available in Terms two and three, 2024.
