if there is to be hope, we have to unite technology and nature

The futures we imagine are the futures we will live in.

The Future & Other Fictions showcases creative thinkers who use imagination, storytelling and craft to create speculative screen worlds.

Through first knowledges, cyberpunk megacities, rewilded landscapes and sci fi renegades, this rich and immersive exhibition celebrates on-screen mythologies that have shaped our world.

By placing dystopian visions of the 20th century in the context of new world imaginings, the exhibition reveals the possibilities of tomorrow.

The Future & Other Fictions will activate the imaginations of secondary English, Media, Humanities and Visual Art students. After the visit, this journey of discovery will foster reflection and discussion, speculative and analytic writing and creative practice.
