Depicting the brutality of colonisation, this film opens with a shocking massacre that leaves theYolngu child Gutjuk in the care of missionaries. Some years later, Gutjuk teams up with ex-soldier Travis to track down Baywara, a Yolngu man who is determined to resist the invaders at all costs.
Please note: this film contains graphic violence and sexual assault, and may not be appropriate for students who have experienced trauma.
Program
This program includes a screening of the film, a short break and a 60-minute lecture paced for EAL students and supported with text and images.
Bookings
To make a new booking, a minimum of 50 students is required.
