I want to donate an item or artwork to the ACMI Collection
Thinking of donating a piece of screen history to our museum?
I want to donate a dollar amount to support the ACMI Collection
Help us safeguard our moving image collection. Make a tax-deductible donation of $2 or more.
ACMI accepts donations of materials to the ACMI Collection, including Cultural Gifts, on a limited basis from members of the public, creatives and industry representatives. While we appreciate the generosity of prospective donors, we carefully consider offers in accordance with the acquisition criteria noted in our Collection Strategy (2024–2029) to ensure that the collection continues to grow sustainably and supports public access into the future.
Please review the Collection Strategy first for detailed information on ACMI’s collection development priorities and the assessment process. Should you decide to propose materials for donation, please complete a Donation Proposal and our Registration & Collections team will be in touch to discuss your offer.
Please note: The ACMI team is unable to accept any unsolicited materials or material under assessment that are delivered via post, courier and/or in-person under any circumstances. If ACMI accepts your donation offer, transport arrangements will be made for your materials.
