How we collect your information
When you apply for a position with the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ABN 37 375 237 227) (ACMI, we), you will be asked to give us some information that will enable us to process any applications you make. This information generally includes your name, contact details, details of your previous employment, gender, and your qualifications.
This information will be collected directly from you, as you enter data into the employment portal. From time to time other people such as previous employers and your nominated referees may also provide us with information about you. In some circumstances, information may be provided to us by other third parties such as recruiters.
If there is a legal requirement for you to supply the information (for example, your right to work in Australia) you will be informed at the time of supplying this information.
Why we collect your information
ACMI collects personal information that is necessary to enable us to process your employment application. If we do not receive the requisite information we may not be able to review your employment application.
Use of personal information
Your personal information will be used primarily for recruitment, selection and employment purposes.
The personal information ACMI collects from you is confidential. We will not disclose that information to any third parties other than:
(a) internally to our staff;
(b) any contractor ACMI engages to provide IT services where access to the information is required as part of the provision of the services;
(c) third party participants on an interview panel where appropriate, which may include an employee of a Victorian government department or organisation, or university;

(e) otherwise with your consent.
Where we disclose your personal information to our staff, contractors or third party interview panellists, we will require them to keep it confidential and only use it in accordance with this collection statement.
