Episode of Series “History of the Motion Picture”
An edited version of the 1921 silent film version of the Dumas novel starring Douglas Fairbanks in the role of D’Artagnan, with added commentary. A cloak-and-dagger adventure romance with sequences of lively duels, chases and acrobatics, and the drama of court intrigue, illustrating the silent action film at its best, adaptation of a popular novel to the screen, and the work of Fairbanks.
