"I'm going to be the next big star. Just wait and see."
In September 2016, thanks to funding through the Lorraine Elliott AM Education Fund and working with Standup Outreach program, forty young refugees from the Darfur region of Sudan were offered the opportunity to attend a workshop developing their filmmaking skills. They learned a wide range of skills, including the technical processes of writing scripts, effective filming with green screen technology, editing their videos and preparing them for online distribution through Youtube.
