Top Screen 2020 is now online and available for all VCE Media teachers. For the first time, teachers and students across Victoria can enjoy the short film festival from the comfort of their homes.
Presented as part of the VCE Season of Excellence 2020, Top Screen provides a unique opportunity to view the work of Victoria’s next generation of filmmakers. Featuring narrative, documentary, music videos and animation created by VCE Media students from 2019, this eclectic program will inspire and entertain you.
Meet the filmmakers
Further to this, The Season of Excellence team will be recording a virtual Meet the Filmmakers panel with some of this year’s Top Screen filmmakers, and would like to give you the opportunity to submit questions beforehand. Moderated by the State Reviewer for Media, Renee Paxton, the discussion will cover various aspects of their VCE Media journey. Filmmakers will share their successes, challenges and top tips for current students.
If your Media students have any questions they would like to ask the filmmakers of Top Screen 2020, please submit before 10am, Wednesday 13 May. The Meet the Filmmakers panel will endeavour to cover as many questions as possible during the session.
Top Screen sessions at Treasury Theatre and The Capitol have been postponed until further notice. However, the full program is now available to view online. VCE Media teachers can request access to Top Screen 2020 via the link below.
